Risen

Was the Dell R510 for my serving needs but hit the limits for adding a GPU.

Built this recently and sold my Dell R510, runs silent compared to my Dell and sips power compared to it as well.

Mainly used as Plex/VM/Secondary Gaming Rig. Still a WIP, trying to hide the HBA card.

Bought a house, got a gaming den. With some help from my friend Rywats I was able to set up my desk the way I've always wanted.

2 x Asus ROG Swift PG278QR (2560x1440 | 144Hz | G-Sync) in portrait.
1 x Alienware AW3418DW (3440x1440 | 120Hz | G-Sync) in landscape.

It's surreal how well this setup looks and how functional it all is.

The secondary rig has a LG 27UD58-B (3840 x 2160 | 60Hz | Freesync) and the rig fits comfortably in the legs of the desk.

Venturing out with a new system:

My 2014 Mac Mini needs a rest, I need something that has more juice to transcode more streams with out buffering, and relying on a external hard-disk is something I really want to avoid.

Bought a enterprise server for hosting my media and automating my Plex library. Planning on running a couple VM's and see whats what.

I have never really tinkered with a server or VM's all that much before so this is new and exciting for me!

Ultron 2K18 | U P G R A D E

Thanks to the mining craze I was able to sell my two EVGA 1080 FTW for $1,000 ea. That's a $100 more than I originally bought them for!

My 3 year old Corsair 760T is great but I wanted more cooling capacity and did not need or want the 5.25in drive bays, also I wanted a glass case.

Picked up a new Thermaltake View 71 Tempered glass case and a EVGA 1080Ti FTW3 with a new waterblock from EK. Got some new radiators from Hardware Labs a Black Ice Nemesis GTX 360mm and 420mm.

I wanted to try a new coolant color, I originally picked up some of the new Primochill Vue in Candy Purple, but hearing all the horror stories about how it gunks up blocks and the effect goes away quick by having your system on for more then 8 hours worried me so I picked up some Mayhems Pastel white and dark grey, turned out pretty nice and subtle.

Also picked up:
i7 - 8700k 8 Core|16 Thread
Asus Maximus Formula X

I wasn't able to keep the temps down at 5Ghz I'd easily throttle due to the heat even with my loop! So I delid it and now am stable at 5Ghz @ 1.392v at load roughly 45° with an ambient temp of 22°.

Waiting on a second FTW3 if or when the prices drop then i'll be all set for now....

Ultron 2K17

So I did another update to my rig, figure I'd update it to the latest generation and replace my Z97 board and loyal 4790K.

My XSPC Raystorm Pro was getting pretty oxidized so I upgraded to the EK Evo, and also I hated my Primochill 240 reservoir, thing leaked in the beginning and was too big for my setup. Opted to try Heatkiller's reservoir and I love it.

I also sold my Asus MG2789Q (144hz, Freesync, IPS, 1440p) and Samsung 34" SE790 ( 60hz, Ultra-wide, VA, 3440x1440) monitors and picked up 2 x Asus PG278QR (165hz, G-Sync, TN, 1440p)

Intel 7700K | Overclocked to 5.0Ghz @ 1.3v
Trident Z Series DDR4 3200 RAM Kit w/ RGB LED Lighting, 32GB (4x8GB)
EK-Supremacy EVO - Gold Plated
Heatkiller 200mm reservoir w/ MultiPort top
Bitspower fittings
Phobya PWM fan spitters
NZXT internal USB hub
Some cables here and there.

Planning on deliding maybe in the future, temps are easily managed with my loop though.

Here it is all 'lit'.
