F-XT to F-WILDERNESS

Was a great fun car, but it got into an unfortunate accident. The wife loved the Forester and had to get another one so we ended up getting her a 2022 Subaru Forester Wilderness Edition in Autumn Green Metallic on April 16 2022.

RIP Nov 2021

See more, explore more, experience
more in the Forester Wilderness

Introducing the first-ever Subaru Forester Wilderness, the most ruggedly capable Forester ever built. This is the Forester you know and love, equipped with the same trusted levels of quality, dependability and reliability. But it’s also a Forester like never before, one that’s engineered to encourage you to do more, see more and explore more.

Under the hood, the formidable SUBARU BOXER® engine is linked to a new Lineartronic® CVT with revised gear ratios, transfer case and oil cooler, all engineered to help you tow faster and further. There’s also an increased suspension height which give you the ability to clear obstacles in the road ahead with greater ease. The dual-function X-MODE® system and all-terrain tires mounted on 17-inch black painted wheels also help propel you towards more ambitious adventures.

Inside, the Forester Wilderness™ features ultra-resilient soft-touch upholstery and all-weather rubber floormats that are easy to clean and designed to withstand their fair share of punishment. Other exclusive features include a unique gauge cluster, 8-inch infotainment display, alloy pedals, anodized yellow accent trim and stitching, and Wilderness™ logo embossed on the front seats.

busy

Been a bit:

Subaru blew it's turbo and motor during a trip to Kelowna.

New motor and turbo, which is nice now.

Got married May 21, 2016. Super pumped and love knowing I got her forever.

Subaru got hit by a deer. Waiting on the shop to replace driver front fender and both driver side doors.

Sold my 295x2.

Waiting on 2x GTX 1080s.

FXT

Moved out to van about a month ago. Jeep wasn't cutting it for the small narrow streets and unconventional parking lots, plus the fuel pump gave out. Sold the jeep to my buddy Logan and picked up a 2009 Subaru Forester 2.5 XT.

I haven't brought my 335i or my FD over here yet due to no place to park them. In the summer I'll clean up the garage we have here and bring them both up.

I've had it about a week and am pretty happy with it. The XT has essentially the same engine as the WRX. The 08 WRX and the newer 2.5GT Impreza make the same 224HP. Mine has all the features that were available for that year plus a backup camera and remote car starter.  There are a bunch of things I can do to this thing such as swap 08+ springs and struts to lower the car 3 inches, or grab an accessport and downpipe and run a 08+ WRX sedan exhaust to have a stage 2 foz. We will see I guess!
